Senior Funding Consultant
For someone with more than 10 years of applications to Portugal 2030, the RRP, Interreg and Horizon Europe, who knows the business from the inside and wants to lead the team and train the next generation.
About the role
We are looking for a senior consultant with more than 10 years of proven experience preparing and managing applications to funding programmes such as Portugal 2030, the RRP, Interreg and Horizon Europe, to strengthen our team in Alcácer do Sal.
Beyond knowing the calls and the rules of each programme, we are looking for someone who knows the business from the inside, who can carry projects and clients from first assessment through to approval, and who wants to lead a team and pass that knowledge on to the next generation of consultants.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of applications to national and EU programmes (Portugal 2030, RRP, Interreg, Horizon Europe, among others)
- Manage the project portfolio and the relationship with clients, partners and managing authorities
- Assess eligibility and strategic fit for every project before applying
- Follow the delivery of approved projects: payment claims, reports and audits
- Coordinate the consulting team, allocating work and reviewing what goes out
- Train junior consultants, sharing methods, experience and knowledge of the programmes
- Track how the EU funding frameworks evolve and spot opportunities for clients early
Profile
- More than 10 years of proven experience in funding applications, with demonstrable results
- Deep knowledge of Portugal 2030, the RRP, Interreg and Horizon Europe, of their calls and of the managing authorities
- Experience leading or coordinating teams, and enjoys teaching
- Strong economic and financial analysis skills and technical writing
- Familiarity with the Balcão dos Fundos platform
- Independent, rigorous and comfortable dealing directly with clients and partners
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
